One tool for many different demand patterns.
Due to the size of NACCO’s Australian establishment, there was a huge task assigned solely to their demand manager, seeing him take charge of 200,000 active part numbers and 2,000 line items shipped daily. With a forecast for records that their current system had difficulty handling and an inventory management approach for the entire NACCO inventory range that was not as effective as it could be, DMS implemented the Demand Solutions Suite to address these struggles.
Two months after introducing the Demand Solutions Suite, along with the Demand Solutions Inventory Management approach, an increased visibility of stock levels was present, and NACCO’s demand manager achieved a more efficient solution to manage current and future expenditure for each inventory category. Figures showed that these systems would reduce inventory by 25%, while there would be an increase in inventory turns and customer service.
