Case Study
Gloria jeansDMS Mission
To increase global visibility and implement a continuation of new products.
Details
One tool for many different demand patterns.
Challenge
Planning with Excel spreadsheets as the company gained global recognition and success was no longer efficient. With more than 600 items in the inventory and the use of Australian-only suppliers, lead times were threatening to limit the company’s rate of growth internationally.
Solution
By implementing the new demand forecasting and inventory management systems, Gloria Jeans has been able to add international suppliers, leading to the implementation of numerous global warehouses that replenish stock to the franchises. It was estimated that inventory was reduced by 60% in Europe and the Middle East, while lead times were culled from three months to between 10 to 20 days, which in turn has seen an increase in new outlet agreements, sales and profits.
Testimonial
“I suggested that we implement Demand Solutions because I had used it with great success at a previous company. I knew that it would be capable of handling inventory in multiple global locations for the Gloria Jean’s Coffees Master Franchise Partner network.”
